Longstanding county commissioner, family man and local small business owner, Kim Coonan has dedicated the past two decades to the betterment of the Bay County community, its residents and its natural resources. 

As an advocate for clean energy and a voice for senior citizens, the disabled and veterans, Kim has worked for over two decades on issues important to working class community members.

As state representative, Kim plans on bringing important issues to the forefront, including universal pre-K and childcare that will help folks get back to work.

As owner of Coonan's Irish Hub in Bay City, former president of the Utility Workers Union of America, and a father and grandfather, Kim has deep roots in the community and has been active in supporting local schools, the United Way and cleaning up Bay City State Park’s shoreline to promote tourism and accessibility for residents.

With your vote, Kim will listen to and advocate for residents in Bay City and Essexville, as well as Bangor, Frankenlust Hampton, Kawkawlin, Merritt, Monitor and Portsmouth Townships in Bay County.
